Stamp/UV Print/Laser Etch/Inkscape

Designing your Stamp
Prepare the project with a program that will allow you to create a vector file (Adobe Illustrator, Corel, Inkscape).

Keep these in mind when designing your stamp:

  • file format: .ai, .eps, .pdf, .cdr or .svg
  • text changed to curves
  • lines closed/connected

The maximum size of the long edge of the stamp is 12cm. The preferable width is 8cm and height up to 5cm. When designing your stamp, make sure it is not outlined but a full object.

Designing your UV Print
This technology is available on most leatherettes and textiles. The color of the UV Print has been matched to the color of the material. The UV Print is printed on the cover of your product. Your UV Print should be designed in Corel or Illustrator or any other vector graphics editor like Inkscape.

Keep these in mind when designing your UV Print:

  • file format: .ai, .eps, .pdf, .cdr or .svg
  • text changed to curves
  • lines closed/connected
  • If you would like a project executed by one of our graphic designers, please contact us with the details.

How large can my UV Print be?

Your UV Print can be any size, as long as it fits on your product. We suggest leaving a 1,5cm safe area around the edges of the cover of your product. For example, for a 30x30 album, you would be able to create a UV Print of 28,5x28,5, at maximum. In the case of a UV Print on a USB, the largest print available is 3,7cmx1,5cm.

Designing your Laser Etch
This technology cuts away the primary layer of leatherette or textile leaving the layer underneath exposed. Your Laser Etch should be designed in Corel or Illustrator or any other vector graphics editor like Inkscape.

Keep these in mind when designing your Laser Etch:

  • file format: .ai, .eps, .pdf, .cdr or .svg
  • text changed to curves
  • lines closed/connected

Inkscape Tutorial (converting to a vector file)

Your Laser Etch, UV Print or Stamp can be made only using a vector file. Raster graphics - .jpg and .tiff files cannot be used to make your Laser Etch, UV Print, or Stamp.

How do I convert my .jpg or .tiff file to a vector file?
You can do so in Corel or Illustrator or any other vector graphics editor like Inkscape. Inkscape is a free vector graphics editor.
We've prepared a short tutorial for you on how to use this program.
